LEONARD Surpasses 200K Downloads

It may not impress Joe Rogan but our indie podcast LEONARD surpassed 200,000 downloads!

The audio series combines true crime with social justice to share the story of America’s longest-serving Indigenous political prisoner, Leonard Peltier.

In 2021 the podcast was honored with the inaugural Human Rights Digital Story-Telling Award from Duke University where it is now permanently archived on campus at the Rubenstein Library.

In 2022 the show was named one of the top true crimes series of the year by Apple Podcasts. In 2023 it was licensed to Wondery Studios where it was offered ad-free behind a paywall on their Wondery+ platform.

Season One contextualizes why a deadly firefight broke out on June 26, 1975, on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation with the help of Edgar Bear Runner, who intervened on the day of the shootout to buy time for Peltier’s escape.

Season Two unveils how Leonard evaded the largest manhunt in U.S. history before detailing his capture and criminal trial. Along the way we convince Chase Iron Eyes to co-direct a new Leonard Peltier documentary!

A third and final season remains in the works. Listen to LEONARD today!
