Boston Loud Releasing on May 22nd

In conjunction with Never Got Caught's new album "Lead Me Under" on They Want More Records, we are releasing our documentary, "Boston Loud," a behind-the-scenes look at the recording process on Tuesday, May 22nd. The documentary features interviews with Neil Fallon from Clutch, Dave Tree, and many more. Preorders are now available.

In July 2012 brothers Bryan and Billy Hinkley cut a new record at Mad Oak Studios in Boston. In May 2018 that record will finally be released. "Boston Loud" charts the ups and downs of their band Never Got Caught, while chronicling the Hinkley's first outfit. The brothers played lead guitar and drums in Tree, a notorious 90s punk band that was banned from Boston at the peak of their popularity due to mosh pit violence.

Boston Loud Teaser

Happy 4th of July, America! To celebrate we are releasing the teaser for our new documentary BOSTON LOUD.

They never went platinum. They never went gold. But four decades later brothers Bill and Bryan Hinkley are still playing loud in Boston.

“Boston Loud” is a new rock doc about brothers Bill and Bryan Hinkley whose music has been rocking the Boston scene since the late 80s. “Boston Loud” documents the Hinkleys and their current band Never Got Caught as they tour around New England and self-produce a new EP at Mad Oak Studios in Allston.

Before NGC, Bill and Bryan were in the Boston post-punk band TREE with Dave Tree and Jake Westwood. For thirteen years, TREE made a name for themselves by touring across the country with hardcore bands like Clutch, Gang Green, Murphy’s Law, Downset and the Mighty Bosstones, but their notoriety resulted in little financial success.

“Boston Loud” explores the landscape of the Boston music scene today as it documents the real lives of independent artists who book their own studio time and shows while holding down day jobs.
