The feature length documentary “Toxic Soup” debuted at the 2010 Atlanta Film Festival and will screen at the 2010 New Jersey Film Festival this fall at Rutgers University as well as at the 2010 KahBang Film, Art and Music Festival. “Toxic Soup” has also screened at the University of Maryland, West Virginia State University, and the New Life Expo in San Francisco, CA. Rory Owen Delaney served as writer, producer, editor and director of “Toxic Soup.”
In 2009, MBD Films announced its collaboration with celebrity choreographer Paul Becker and Paperny Films to produce and direct “Life Unchoreographed,” a reality TV show about Paul’s life. The reality show is currently being pitched to major TV networks.
Man Bites Dog Films co-directed and produced the feature length documentary “The Good, The Bad and The Lilly” with Chad Meador. The documentary follows local filmmaker Chad Meador as he teams up with West Virginia governor Joe Manchin III to bring a world record for the world’s largest family reunion to Flat Top, West Virginia, a sleepy town in the middle of the coal belt.
Additionally, MBD Films has produced documentary content for California artist Eric Leiser and civil rights activist David McCoy. In 2007, MBD Films co-produced “Method in the Mountains,” a documentary that won the Audience Choice Award at the West Virginia Filmmakers Festival.
Aside from features and documentaries, MBD Films has shot live concerts for 80′s phenom Debbie Debb, Mexican pop sensation Pee Wee (former member of the Kumbia All Stars) and for Yo Mando Records’ Sami Cultura. We’ve also done music videos for hiphop artists 3nvious, Rosevelt and C-Nice. We have also produced web content for TNT agency, Humormill Magazine and the Shop Eat Sleep blog.
Man Bites Dog Films is currently writing a feature length script based on the documentary “Toxic Soup” with Migrant Turtle Films to be directed by Christina Voros. Voros was named one of the 25 new faces in independent film by Filmmaker Magazine. Previously, Rory Owen Delaney teamed up with Voros to write the short film “Rosy”, which screened at the Director’s Guild in Los Angeles as well as at the 2008 Florida Film Festival and the Nantucket Film Festival. MBD Films is also adapting a feature film from Sally Denton’s nonfiction book The Bluegrass Conspiracy, which the Wall Street Journal called “a larger than real life thriller.”

When Kentucky Blueblood Drew Thornton parachuted to his death in September 1985 – carrying thousands in cash and 150 pounds of cocaine – the gruesome end of his life blew open a scandal that reached to the most secret circles of the U.S. government.
Rory also wrote “My Brother’s Story,” a feature script based on the life of celebrity choreographer Paul Becker. Tagline: Aaron and Albee Swift live as grifters in New York City under their father’s tutelage until Albee’s arrest and Aaron’s enrollment in an elite preparatory school changes life overnight. “My Brother’s Story” is currently being pitched to producers and directors in Hollywood. Additionally, Man Bites Dog Films writes for documentaries, most recently “Toxic Soup”, “The Good, the Bad and the Lilly” as well as “Method in the Mountains.”

MBD Films edits on Final Cut Pro Studio.
Man Bites Dog Films edited the upcoming feature length documentary “Toxic Soup” (Official Selection of the 2010 Atlanta Film Festival, New Jersey Film Festival, and the Kahbang Film, Art and Music Festival) as well as the micro-budget documentary “Method in the Mountains.” “Method in the Mountains” won the 2007 Audience Choice Award at the West Virginia Filmmakers Festival. But MBD Films edits more than documentaries. We edited a television commercial for Daniel Vineyards as well as web content for Arkitek Records and TNT Agency. We have also cut music videos for a number of independent hiphop artists including 3nvious, C-Nice, Tommy Gunn and Rosevelt.
The “Black Fridai” video that we shot and edited for hiphop artists Techniec, Rosevelt, and C-Nice was featured on World Star Hiphop and was been viewed over 150,000 views in two months.
Man Bites Dog Films also digitizes footage if you need editing assistance as we did for Pollard Film and Coach Art, a nonprofit dedicated to coaching children who have survived cancer art, music and sports. Additionally, Man Bites Dog Films edits acting / hosting reels, wedding videos and more.
