Sahaya International Teaser

Here is the preliminary 3 minute trailer / teaser for Sahaya International and Reel Aid. Director Andy Lauer has persuaded Academy Award Winner Jeremy Irons to lend his voice to the project. Jeremy is expected to record the voiceover in mid June so I hope to complete the documentary and trailer during the summer of 2012. Sahaya International is a non-profit organization based out of Davis, California. Its mission is to promote awareness and education of social, medical and environmental issues in developing countries, particularly in India.

In other news, Toxic Soup will soon be on HULU. We are also finalizing a deal with French Connection Films to have Toxic Soup broadcast in France and French-speaking territories around the world. The Graff Lab documentary is still in progress as is our mockumentary Sawmill Outlaw.

Toxic Soup made its broadcast TV premiere on Free Speech TV and was an official selection of the Atlanta and New Jersey Film Festivals, among others.

It’s the politics of pollution as corporations manipulate the system, delaying environmental reform and endangering the health of communities across the world. “Toxic Soup” features interviews with Bill Clinton and Morgan Spurlock, music by Never Got Caught and animation by Eric Leiser and Jason Brubaker.

Official Selection of the 2010 Atlanta Film Festival, New Jersey Film Festival, Twin Cities Film Festival, Louisville International Festival of Film, KahBang Film Festival and the American Conservation Film Festival, among others.

Over Christmas I shot some test footage at Steamboat Springs in Colorado with the HERO HD helmet cam with my brother-in-law Jason Lacy aka “The Mayor.” Here is what we got. Music by The Exciters — Exciters Theme from “Panama! Latin, Calypso and Funk On the Ithmus from 1965-1975″ available on Soundway Records.

It was one of the coldest Christmases that I can remember in Steamboat this year so unfortunately, I was only able to film for one day. Fortunately, I was able to snowmobile to the continental divide located in Routt National Forest with my good friend Jupiter. However, I didn’t shoot any video because I didn’t want to stick one of the mounts on my snowmobiling rental helmet. I need to get some more of those HERO helmet accessories.
